The short version: The Sound Lounge does not require an account, does not sell your data, and does not use advertising trackers.
1. Who we are
The Sound Lounge is an iPhone music-discovery app published by Roadman Studio. Questions about this policy can be sent to support@roadmanstudio.com.
2. Information the app handles
The app stores your selected artists, reactions, saved tracks, preferences, daily discovery count, and purchase status locally on your device. This information is used to operate and personalize the app. We do not receive or maintain an account-based copy of it on our servers.
3. Apple Music and StoreKit
The app uses Apple Music and MusicKit to search the Apple Music catalog, play available previews, and—only when you choose—create or update playlists. Apple may process requests and device or account information under Apple’s own privacy policy. Purchases and restores are processed by Apple through StoreKit; we do not receive your full payment-card details.
4. Permissions
Apple Music access is requested only when a feature needs it, such as playlist export. You can change permissions in iOS Settings. Core discovery may use catalog previews without requiring playlist access, subject to regional availability.
5. Analytics
If you choose “Share Anonymous Analytics,” the app sends limited product-interaction events to PostHog’s EU-hosted service. These events help us understand whether mixes load, when a discovery deck runs dry, broad reaction totals within a session, and whether onboarding, purchases, or exports succeed. We do not send song names, artist names, album names, searches, playlist contents, Apple Music library data, profile photos, precise location, or contact details.
Analytics are off until you consent. The integration disables automatic screen capture, session replay, advertising profiles, cross-app tracking, and automatic interaction capture. Events use an anonymous installation identifier and are not linked to an account because the app has no account system. You can withdraw or restore consent at any time from Profile. PostHog processes this limited data on our behalf under its privacy and security terms.
This website uses Vercel Web Analytics to measure anonymized page views and understand broad traffic sources, pages, countries or regions, browsers, operating systems, and device types. Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies, does not build advertising profiles, and does not track visitors across other companies’ websites.

The app and website contain no third-party advertising and do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. This website does not set advertising or analytics cookies.
6. Data retention and deletion
Local app data remains on your device until you remove it in the app, reset the app, or delete the app. Exported playlists are stored in your Apple Music library and are controlled through your Apple account. Consented anonymous analytics events may be retained for up to 12 months. Turning analytics off stops future collection; you can contact us if you have a privacy request.
7. Children
The Sound Lounge is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. International use
Apple services and our EU-hosted analytics processor may process information in countries other than your own. Their handling of information is governed by their applicable terms and privacy policies.
9. Changes
We may update this policy when the app changes. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
